In 2024, Friends of Literacy delivered over 27,000 books to children and families in our community! Thank you so much to all of our generous donors, volunteers, and community partners who helped us make last year a success.

Hey, grown-ups! Don't tell kids that reading is a worthwhile and pleasurable activity - show them! Let them catch you reading a book and sighing, or laughing, or emitting little squeaks of fear, or going back and rereading a bit out loud to yourself. Be a model reader!

We are so excited to donate 900 books to Appalachian Association for Children's Early Education to support families affected by the hurricane. Thank you to their team for getting these books into the hands of kids who need them most.
