oh this might just be a bug lol. one person said it varies by computer... at first i was like huh interesting design choice, but after a few tries it came across more as "completely untested"

normal timeeee... i was having trouble beating the timer on the first level? not a problem ive ever had in a shmup b4 lol. idek if ive even SEEN a failure timer in one lol

personally i dont think the highs or the particular variety of distortion matters all that much, outside certain extremes. different analog mediums have very different kinds of distortion & as long as its not exceedingly harsh i think the main ingredient is just feeding it lots of bass

nothing more than vague, fancy-sounding jargon 4 "having the qualities of analog mediums" i think, but personally id say its most obviously "distorted lows", "warble", & "noise/pops/hiss"... idk 4 me this record sticks out as the epitome of whatever its supposed 2 mean lol
