The invasion of Iraq was a great test of American politicians and political figures in general. Most of them failed.

Where does America find people like this? Rationally, I can grasp the existence of lying and stupidity. Subservience and perjury are everywhere in human history. But I can’t feel anything in common with such a person. How do they even live with themselves?

It’s long past time for a complete housecleaning on Team D. Anyone in office for more than 10 years is mostly there for the pension and the perks.

Only someone who truly hates America could debase it in this fashion.

Education reform will be a real test for the Democrats. They will have to unlearn almost 30 years of wishful thinking and ideological conformity. Not an easy task.

Mercedes SUV. These people simply will NOT turn off their car alarms on the ferry, so they blast people randomly for the whole 90 minute trip. Audi is just as bad.

The story is from CTV, a well-established media outlet. It looks like the plaintiff was seriously lacking in common sense. Now it's mostly a PR stunt. Frivolous cases like this bring real cases into disrepute, and make it harder for real plaintiffs to get justice.

The original treaties were between New France and the Indigenous people of the time, as in the 1701 Great Peace of Montreal. Superseded by the 1763 Treaty of Paris, but maybe some would prefer the earlier arrangements. Treaty arguments are a dead end here.

The most important thing is money and the willingness to spend it. This has been lacking in Canada for a long time.

Quebec is comparable to Sweden in terms of population and GDP. It would be viable as an independent country, and possibly a better member of NATO than Canada itself. The Liberals have to update their thinking and provide a genuine pro-Canada vision as opposed to empty fear-mongering.

Gas has a strange grip on people's minds. Maybe it's the primitive idea of burning something to cook food and stay warm, which solar and wind power can't provide. There's greed and corruption too (obviously), but perhaps the underlying problem is psychological.
