I’ve got a knack for giving clarity to technical and business writing. I’m a plain language advocate—and I’m your friendly copy editor. (she/her)
Me—an em-dash user? I could never!

Serious question:

Would you maybe be open to taking macOS into account when you mention which platforms a game is coming out for?

Like for instance, at 24:14 into today’s TWiV ep., you mention that Gradius Origins is “coming out for all platforms”—but as far as I can tell, there’s no macOS port?

Ohoo—sweet!

That app looks aaamazing, and I think you might’ve nailed it!

I might guess that it could be for disambiguation—so that an “I” in those stand-alone contexts wouldn’t be confused for a “1” or the like?

Maybe it’s just me, but I’d love to see comics let go of that conceit of the double hyphen in lieu of em dashes—it’s not like we don’t all know that computers are used for layout and typesetting for comics nowadays, right?

Happy to help bring #ACESChat to Bluesky for the first time!

I know the platform is groaning under the giant flood of new users, so if any of my responses are slow today, that will be why.

NYT Games and Cooking are BEHIND THE PICKET LINE. Please don’t play or engage with Games or Cooking content while the strike lasts!

News coverage — including election coverage — is NOT behind the picket line. It’s okay to read and share that, though the site and app may very well have problems.
