Opt in would be preferable but there is a little workaround. If you change your settings for ddg, there's an option at the bottom to get the Bookmarklet.
Then in your browser you can add a "custom search engine" and use that bookmarklet to make the search string and it'll always load those options

The amount of people that seem to think free speech means you can say *anything* you want is astounding; there are limits on what free speech applies to including fraud, slander, and inciting violence. Unfortunately they rarely get in trouble for it so it continues :/

Someone in one of the servers I'm in got a new desk pad and was so proud of it. It just made me die inside that they couldn't tell (or didn't care) that it was generated and it looks absolutely horrible 🫠

If it makes you feel any better, a few websites (namely tiktok and twitch) always open up with Japanese as the language and I don't know why. My entire phone is English, why are 2 websites in Japanese lmao

Found this 5 inch black and white CRT in the recycling center yesterday. Gonna get an RF modulator so I can hook my old raspberry pi 2b up to it. Can't wait to ogle all the monochrome pixel art with it 👀
