And this …
I told an English colleague of the new concept (to him) of monoglot Welsh speakers. There were still people then who only spoke Welsh, most were youngsters before exposure to English. He thought that Welsh people just learnt Welsh - presumably so they could then make life difficult for the English!

And there's this...
Rolling back Hep B immunisation is an overtly racist move given the much higher burden (for whatever reason) of Hep B & it’s sequelae in Hispanics, Indigenous Americans/Alaskans, & some migrants born abroad (particularly African & SE Asian)

My point still stands. I think Corbyn did enjoy it too much. But when you consider the snake pit of the PLP, Labour HQ and media he was operating in I can forgive him some light relief AND he was right on so many things.

… I think Polanski is media savvy enough to finesse this, perhaps learning from the Corbyn experience.

I think blaming a leader for the psychological flaws of their followers is a bit much.

Corbyn and now Polanski are offering water in the desert when it comes to policies. The enthusiasm evoked can seem like a personality cult and this needs to be handled as a presentational issue. ….
