Sadly, had low visibility below the cloud line, with lots of rain and wind, but well rewarded in the end.

Views of Adams and Hood, and the clouds rolling into the crater from where the 1980 removed over a 1000' of mountain in just minutes.

Near the peak, there's an old fire watch tower, no longer in use but maintained by volunteers. At 4000' above the nearest road, it must have been a unique way to live in the alpine wilderness. It's fascinating to think that lifestyle is now obsolete. I'd love to find a journal from someone.
