"Promiscuous Care" emerged while reading about queer care during the hard, hard time of the 80-90s AIDS pandemic. That promiscuity can be flipped, inclusive of touch, connection, being seen, and heard, especially now.

This was a fun experiment, and informed me quite a bit on the ways that cat fur can be conveyed to an audience with pen and ink techniques and a bit of color theory. Whoo Hoo!

Inking is happening. Like, real ink... on a No. 2 kolinsky sable brush, and ink dipped pens with scratchy nibs, fountain pen ink. Raw learning, very queer, very messy.

And I love it. Happy girl making marks.

We had a Dungeon World ttrpg session today, where the party went to a pub called the Owl and Bear. That kicked off a discussion about owlbears, and so I sketched one as we played.
