The faces on these women. Pursed lips, smug upturned noses, visible displays of contempt. These are the kinda women who step into your line at the coffee shop when you've already had a hard morning rush and you just *know* in about 20 minutes you'll be sobbing in the walk-in cooler.

To this day my mother still refuses to acknowledge how traumatizing it was for me to constantly have to fight the haircuts. The almost daily bickering and jabs and "jokes" about sneaking into my room at night with the shears then wondering why I always locked the door.

This articulates better than I ever could have why I can't stand the constant stream of "lol such a boy!" posts attached to selfies of what is clearly a girl. Not naming names, but there's one person in particular who's entire feed is just radioactive because of that shit.
