"VERAS IS DEAD" 15-18
The voidsent perches on a dark windowsill looking back into the room before stepping out into a colorful, painterly world of trees and foliage. There is golden sunlight shining down on the side of the building with open window shutters around the window they are coming from. Top panel: A hand blocking out the sun which shines brightly through their fingers with treetops framing the panel. Mid panel: The voidsent's face behind their illuminated hand casting a shadow. They have black hair and black markings on their face with white pupils looking out. The whole page is a painterly render of a forest with a beam of sunlight shining down on the voidsent's silouette as they peer up at the sky. Text reads: "This world... So filled with light. Filled with hope." A clawed finger cuts into open air to create a void rift that spills out violet energy. The Voidsent steps into it and pauses to glance back. Text reads: "I learned to embrace it, even if its is painful sometimes. Unfair." The tip of the Voidsent's tail disappears into the rift and sequential panels show it closing up once more. The rest of the page is covered in leaves and greenery with black and white images of the Voidsent as a snake on the shoulder of a black haired male viera smiling at it. Below and to the right is the same snake but much larger and with a hood like a cobra, the male viera lovingly cradling its head. Text reads: "It taught me that some things are worth the pain."

Two figures creep through a green parlor. White text, whispering: "Where are we?" Black text: "Literally or figuratively?" Next panel one looks to the other with a sneer and says "You know, I'm getting pretty sick of your mysteriously vague bullshit, darling." Next panel the two figures appear unfinished, sketchy and vague. The handwriting says "All you've done is tell me cryptic nonsense and show me I'm - What? Some clone of a random guy I've never even MET? THEN you tell me you're actually some kind of snake thing-" It returns to text that reads: "Wait... Wha-What's happening?" Black text: "Ciciroix is waking up. I will no longer have control of this dream." The panel dissolves into green goo, dripping down over the unfinished panels below. "DREAM?!" A swirling vortex of color that dissolves into a black hole with a shining light within. Text reads: "Listen carefully, Veras. Your body did perish, and you have no soul. But there was something left of you after all. Something no one could explain. You are being kept like a memory within Ciciroix's mind. A prisoner in his brain, cut off from the world. I WANT TO SAVE YOU ..." The black hole consumes Veras who dissolves into white mist, his face like a skull. Text reads: "I WILL SAVE YOU." Bottom panel shows the scaley figure crouched over a sleeping elezen on a bed, soft light coming in from behind them and casting a shadow over the sleeping man, reminiscent of Henry Fuseli's painting "The Nightmare".

VERAS IS DEAD pages 8-11 now with 99% less handwriting!
Blue Text: "Well, do you have any siblings?" Red Text: "No, thank the gods." Blue Text: "You do now in a sense. The cloning process "re-rolls" your genetic dice so to speak. Traits that your parents passed down to you are all present but some previously unseen become seen." A pair of beige dice have pictures on the sides labeled "Eye color, tail, floppy ears, hair color, peets". There is a simple diagram of rabbit heads showing how dominant traits are passed down. Blue Text: "Like your hair, for example. It was supposed to be white like your parents, but somewhere in your bloodline someone passed down this onyx coloring. Therefore, some will have white hair while others will have onyx. Others still may show even more variation! I have seen even some with deformities such as missing limbs, internal defects - It's all VERY fascinating!" Red Text: "Okay, well, just give me the one with the biggest junk." Blue Text: "..." Red Text: "...What?" A figure ascends a flight of stairs. Blue Text spoken by the figure: "You will get the one that your soul accepts and has the least health concerns." A dark haired viera follows, gripping the handrail and looking up. Red Text spoken by the viera: "...Least?" The next two panels cut to Veras who has suddenly stopped crying. Text: "...He means me, right? I have the biggest junk-" He smirks and looks away with a confident expression. The scaled figure with him looks unamused. Black Text spoken by the scaled figure: "I do not know." Veras Text: "It's gotta be." Black Text: "Ok." The next panel shows a sillouette of the viera from before now at the top of the stairs. A black snake/lizard-like creature white a white head peeks around a corner. The final panel is a closeup of the snake-like creature with no eyes and a purple tongue flickingout. There are several purple lines running along its featureless head. The snake-like creature suddenly turns its head and the next panel shows it hopping down revealing its very long body with four small legs and barbed tail. It slithers across the ground between Veras' legs as he tries to jump out of the way. The stairs from before are bathed in blue, the space in the middle devoid of color, and a green glow is seen on the far right. Text: "Oh gods no no no no! AUGH! WHAT IS THAT?! AAAA!!!" Bottom panel shows Veras looking away from the viewer towards a green door where the snake-like creature is slipping into a crack in the open door. A harsh yellow light eminates from inside. The scaled figure looks over at Veras. Black Text from the scaled figure: "That is me. Before I revieved a more suitable body. These are memories of your origin." First panel: Veras side-eyes the scaled figure with his hand on his hip, clearly liking what he sees. Second panel: The scaled figure suddenly turns to glare at him, their tail flicking in agitation. Their black text bubble reads: "Be silent." Veras flinches sheepishly. Third panel: Veras holds his hands up in surrender and looks away innocently as the scaled figure crosses their arms and stares down at him disapprovingly. Veras Text: "I didn't say anythiiing~" Scaled Figure Text: "I can hear your thoughts- Just go in already." Fourth panel: The blue staircase is on the left, the monochrome space in the middle where Veras and the scaled figure begin traveling towards the right where the green door remains cracked open with yellow light coming out. Veras Text: "Why should I trust you?" Scaled Figure Text: "What choice do you have?" Veras Text: "Fair enough." Fifth panel: Veras peeks in through the green door to reveal a lavish green parlor with a large window and furniture.

First two panels: A face looking down and an identical face looking up, glassy eyed and clearly no longer responsive. Third panel: A male Viera wearing long socks, shorts, and a long coat over his shoulders is collapsed upon some snowy stone stairs. A dark haired figure, the same person, is watching from afar. Text: "Is that... Me?" First panel: A pair of bloodshot eyes and dark curly hair. Text: "Am I..." Second panel: A pair of eyes of the deceased figure, glassy and makeup streaked with tears. Text: "DEAD?" Third panel: The dark haired viera (Veras) is joined my a pale torso with black scales, speaking with a black speech box. Third and Fourth panels: The creature's finger comes in to touch Veras between the eyes. The creatures speaks: "Let me show you..." and Veras winces saying: "Wait! Who are-" Fifth panel: Veras' face surrounded by many other viera's faces, all varying in design but all sharing a very similar face and eye shape with the same shocked expression. First panel: One of the faces from the last page, a lop-earred Viera with pale hair appearing to be casually reading something off screen. Second panel: Another face from before, a dual-toned long haired Viera missing an ear and with a large birthmark covering half his face. He is happily speaking to someone off screen. Third panel: Another face from before, a tall Viera with long black hair and a dark nose wearing a frilled shirt walking forward. Fourth panel: All of the faces are now glowing figures in a vague void, unaware of Veras and the creature who have now arrived in the middle. Veras is crouching and holding his head, dazed. The tall dark haired Viera is walking by and touching hands with the creature. Fifth panel: The tall dark haired Viera gazes back at the creature somberly as their hands begin to slip free from one another. Sixth panel: A close up of their hands nearly parted, just their fingertips still touching. Seventh panel: They break apart, the figure dissipates.
