I need audio help.

I have a rode pod mic connected to my one channel of my focusrite 2i2.

If I turn keep my gain low I’m quiet but if I turn it up to be heard at normal levels you would hear everything.

The video below is when I use a noise gate/compressor.

Any suggestions?
