I have no idea what I'm doing here or anywhere.

I sometimes draw, I sometimes photograph, I sometimes practice magick, I sometimes suffer my cat's wrath

he/him/his

I neither use nor support AI/NFT/Crypto
ALSO, it is my cat's 16th birthday.
She's lived in three US states, she's had to lose most her teeth, she's had a mystery cyst or tumor removed as well as a melanoma, and she's still here and going strong!
Lemme give that prism a twist so she can chase rainbows.

And now that the rain is letting up we went outside to survey the damage and yeah, basically the whole tree fell down. There are also large broken branches in the driveway where my partner normally parks -- he brought his car into the garage today in case of hail. Phew!

Ah, out of power and a neighbor's tree fell on the house. Leaks galore. :(

Oh yeah, I forgot to show off my finds from a local library sale! A book on taoist sigil craft, a translated classic for energy work, and the latter appears to be geared more towards qi gong (based on a peek or two; ie, instead of herbs and acupuncture)

So of course I gave this cliff the spooky treatment too. The cave is better emphasized, as well as the trees' details. The slender twigs in the foreground now cut bright, ragged webs.

Another part of the cliffs, further on the trail. iirc that is a cave high up there.

Here's that cliff again, except I made some adjustments to lean into the dracula's castle look.

So that cliff from which I took some photos? Here it is from the ground below! It looks a bit like a spooky castle...

Here we came down from the cliffs to the water below. I loved the blue color. I also loved the blush of green among the trees.

This is a nice view taken from the cliffs on the wildflower trail. Later I'll have photos from the trail below, looking up at the cliffs!

More sycamores -- these as seen from a cliff. I liked the contrast between them and all the other trees.

OH YEAH our first day I went to go sit at the picnic bench to read but a baby bunny was hiding there instead. It finally left sometime after full dark. A good start to the trip!

Preparing to go camping and checking equipment. Old laptop still works!
I never removed the stickers bc I liked knowing the hardware at a glance. Helpful today, reflecting on how long ago I got this machine. Shipped with Windows 7... (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS currently lol. Eh, will leave as is for now)

Old sketch I like, circa 2016? 2017? Sharpies on computer paper with a touch of white gel pen lol. I drew this during a session of VtM.

Using a UV light, we can see the extra details -- this cat has been jinxed to gain weight! Possibly not against his will though. He likely paid for someone to put a gain spell on him.

I haven't had the energy for drawing in a while. From '24.

Listen, if someone I follow mostly for scholarly metaphysics talk gets to casually share fat fur poetry now and then, I can share the occasional drawing too. Not an exciting picture as is -- just a normal selfie right? You are wrong!! See next post for details.

The snow looks nice today, if a touch gloomy. Maybe I'm projecting my mood.

My partner is doing some cleaning in the office, which happens to be our cat's favorite haunt (besides her tent or various heating vents). I found her sitting on the floor to watch snowfall, poor thing.

Earlier on our walk, before it whited out. I'm not sure what this building is for besides water -- I forgot. There's probably another with a helpful sign somewhere else, but not here. I do know it was repaired recently.

We decided to visit South Park today since we wanted to see the woods in the snow while we had the chance, and we were engulfed by it for a while on the trail! Enough to almost hide our tracks coming in by the time we left.

Naturally I forgot to take a before pic and just got to work repotting. I want to say the current pot is 8in in diameter. The previous one was 4in, if you can imagine that plant crammed into such a small thing like that.

Obligatory snow photo from this morning. Still getting light snow. I hope it picks up.

Totally untouched (beyond what evil my phone does automatically) preserving the pale grey light.

I do not remember how I took this photo (no, I didn't just point it at the sun-- but what the hell did I do??) but I know it's from 2017 and it was the eclipse that year as seen from Atlanta, GA.

Everything is terrible, so please enjoy our tree that we put up and decorated (after hunting down replacement bulbs for one of the light strings) today. The bambi image behind it is one of my partner's prints (woodblock) from grad school.
