So many have no appreciation for how large high quality images are. Devs don't bloating their install size for fun. It would make their lives easier too if they could be smaller without sacrifice.

About 3/4ths through Cronos and so glad for your mod. Thanks a ton, makes a real cool game look as inky as it should with no loss of the thick moody atmospherics.

Maybe this could allow games to have that communal window with the single universal difficulty and the promise of an accessibility update later.

I wonder if games like this could plan to release accessibility options at a later date, but announce that ahead of time. I love Dark Souls and its difficulty but I wish people that don't care about being brutally challenged had the opportunity to enjoy their transportive environments regardless.

I've been living in my home for 7 years and some of them I still haven't unstuck!

It's got a lot of strange decisions, and no one is acting appropriately for the situation, but I'm still having a good time somehow. Probably the set design making up for 80% of it.

Always loved Bahamut FF9. But then again it is my favorite FF.

Something I seemed to notice from this UE3 gen was many Western games had a reliance on muddy normal maps. The original assets probably looked great, but what made it in game did not. Texture streaming issues didn't help. While Japanese games focused on moderate geo detail and high texture clarity.

Unfortunately the Switch 2 screen has very low peak brightness, meaning it's a pretty limited example of HDR. So the sun can only be a *little* brighter than the sky when it should be many *times* brighter. On a good docked HDR display, the sun should really pop and look noticeably brighter.

Re HDR from a tech nerd. There are two key points. Wider color gamut (more color depth) and higher peak brightness. The brighter a display can get the more contrast it can have. You want that for something like the sun and bright light effects which are drastically brighter than anything else.

What a wild oversight. Something that has always bugged me is the lack of options with Nintendo games. Accessibility options in something like Mario Kart are an outlier for them. Drives me crazy.

No one is surprised that PT and RT are slower than raster. If you want better performance you forgo better visuals. This isn't new.

Regardless of performance impact, it's amazing we've become so acustomed to anything approaching real time feedback.
