I’m not into draft analysis and I don’t know who any of these kids are…so I’ll wait and see as always

But based on what I am seeing my gut tells me we are fumbling this, like really bad. Hope I’m wrong

For years Marks ignored size (so so so stupid), and now it’s like “eh, who needs shooting?”

I have no connection at all to Seattle and still it’s perpetual middle fingers up to OKC and especially one of the biggest scumbags in nba history: clay bennett

Idc how likeable OKC ever becomes, I will never root for someone who cld do that to a fanbase

I went back to commiserate (I’m so pissed off)…and yeah it’s as awful as u remember

Nets have assets and space, theyll be fine/goodish eventually. But sustained success that theyve never had almost requires elite drafted talent. Will that literally EVER happen for the nets? So sick of this shit

Maybe you are right. We won’t know until later season likely when we actually see how they perform

As Mets fans let’s hope you’re not tho haha

I guess what I’m saying is how can we say it’s an upgrade/downgrade, we’re not even close to opening day, let alone a point where we cld safely say that

Baseball performance is so variable, and we have a FO w a proven track record of projecting bounce back. Last year a perfect example

Possibly? What better options were there that had the same acquisition cost? Doesnt mean process is not good

That there wasn’t high demand is the point…bringing in lots of low cost options. If they were in demand thats an entirely different strategy (a far more risky and less sustainable one imo)
February 26, 2025 at 11:42 PM
Not meant to be a “solid bet”…that’s the point. Smart teams realize that due to injury and performance fluctuation in baseball u need to bring in a lot of options to “see what sticks”. If they were already established the payroll is not sustainable

Every year there are a bunch of bounce back guys

Don’t really think one thing has anything to do with the other

Shld always be looking to acquire a front end ace and ALSO stockpile cheap depth and lightning in a bottle candidates

I think Stearns track record of player rehab is good so I trust him, and hitting on cheap talent makes dynasties

I lost faith in Claxton putting in the work/effort/attention to detail like 2y ago when he continuously had poor conditioning and didn’t really improve at all year 1-3. It was only his contract year it seemed like he put in the work/effort.

0 interest in building around guys like that. Trade him

Totally agree with this 100%

If it’s the piece that puts them over the top then fine. But even that I’m tired of trying to hit a small window perfectly
January 13, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Not to mention that Giannis’ skill sets are the type that decline rapidly with age & wear and tear

I swear, Marks is a really great GM for certain things…..and completely terrible in others
January 13, 2025 at 5:32 PM
It really sux that it feels like a complete Nets wasteland. NBA overall not so bad tho

I feel like a Dlo/Cam T backcourt is a pretty decent start for a tank. Offensively redundant and defensively pretty terrible

Maybe they flip Dlo but for what? I’m surprised, w the level of interest, that we’re settling for so many 2nds
