North Cascades, Cutthroat Pass, WA. Oct 19, 2025. Even in all the fog and dense snow, we spotted larches. They're even more striking when the brilliant golds stand out against a thick blanket of white ice. #PNW #WA #Larches #Snow #Fall

Big Four Ice Caves: Here is the best shot I could get that day of an actual ice cave. Even standing this far away is dangerous, and I could feel a biting frigid air billowing out of the cave. There's a reason they carved a stark warning in stone at the entrance to the area: Don't be dumb! #PNW #WA
Formed cave in the ice. The cave is enormous-about 9 feet tall, it's hard to capture the size of it. Text carved on stone: "People have died beyond here. The environment is forever changing, your awareness and decisions can be the difference between life and death. This area not patrolled on a regular basis."

Annie Creek Trail, Crater Lake, Oregon. Fall is starting to peek through!
