Quick intro, I’m Chris 👋 and I’m a #photographer out of Denver, Colorado. It’s not my profession…yet.

I took this today near Boreas Pass and this flag was whipping around in front of ominous clouds.

I only took the one photo, but it was enough. The fabric in the flag tearing, the dark storm clouds. And I desaturated the color behind the flag, to fully realize the way I feel about things right now.

In August, Subaru invited me to join 25 Subaru Ambassadors from across the country for Overland Expo Mountain West in Loveland, Colorado. I went alone — my wife was working, my kids were in school — but I came home with new friends, new lessons, and a whole new appreciation for the Subaru community. From tackling Rollins Pass with freshly swapped Falken Wildpeak A/T4Ws, to sleeping uncomfortably in the back of my Outback Wilderness on a windy night, to joining the Subie & You Podcast for an impromptu interview — this trip was a turning point.
