see also how massively overvalued a lot of these companies are. they're supposedly worth hundreds of billions of dollars and have yet to ever actually be profitable.

it's like we're in this fucked up mutant form of capitalism where the accumulation of wealth is increasingly decoupled from the actual production of goods and services.

As a general rule I try not to let my politics dictate my tastes, but there's a certain point at which it's just straight up unethical to give someone money and exposure.

Not exactly the same path, but I was a Playstation kid who got into PC gaming (through Valve games), and basically ignored consoles between the PS3 and the Switch.
