unfortunately bluesky is not hardened against centralized control and manipulation much more than traditional networks

information must be filtered by people that users know and trust in real life. this ascribes a high cost to broadcast reach and inverts the authority structure

hopefully it becomes more popular to publish under a license with such stipulations (and that it ends up enforceable in court)

unfortunately I don't think there's any practical way to prevent publicly available data from being scraped, but at least the resulting models should be shared publicly as well

however you pick the mod team, over time they'll inevitably try to do anti-user stuff. everyone must be exclusively their own mod to avoid manipulation.
