really sucks cuz the games has had moments where it felt good (i.e in terms of my plays/decision making/planning mattering to my wins), but recently it just feels scripted, and largely based on luck on who draws their powercards and if you have those answers on not

I've pretty much internalized that the casual card game player have no idea what the fuck they're talking about and SVWB is the biggest example of this. And continuously it feels as though the devs keeps listening to these types of people.

it's even worse cuz the same people making the loudest noise is the same people who plays these Rune or Sword and then go on to suggest shit like the game having "too much healing" when in actuality, they are solutions to the issue that the classes they play are doing too much damage

i point out sword and rune cuz they're the most egregious in terms of power level in cards they just refuse to nerf or try to balance even tho that's one of the biggest appeal of a online tcg

Faa0 feels more interesting in a group settings and i'm p sure that was intentional. chasing overall clear speeds in 6mans or personal dpm has more elements of testing player skills than solo did in my experience.

I think ur right, hexa solo the best content in gbf if you can engage with it since its one of the few things that does test your skills as a player (knowledge checks + time and resource management). Faa0 solo doesn't do that because theres very limited comps that can solo it in the first place

i'd argue that most of the time, the burden of maintaining rules is not significant enough that it needs to be delegated to specific sets of people. Usually that role can be compressed to people who can do both. And finding someone who can do both is part of the vetting process

yeah, i think generally having mod, even if it's just a title, helps give more authority to your advice. This is probably the case in most servers, hence why i think being selective about who gets it is ultimately a good thing.
