As a Mainer, I cannot really describe the level of disappointment. Collins' seat is always just out of reach and this was the first time it felt possible we'd be rid of her.

Thank you. I would repeat to these people "I'm a recent widow, I'm diagnosed PTSD, I'm confused and I need someone here to help me," and they wouldn't let up. I'm lucky to have resources around to help. My heart breaks for literally everyone,even the caller,caught in those schemes

Yeah when I lost my husband my info.must have gotten gleaned on some sort of next of kin thing; the volume of very sophisticated scam.calls I got is hard to overstate. I had PTSD, I was confused. I'm youngish, a good support network; to think of the elderly going through it, heartbreaking

One time I was on the bus and this older lady ASKED ME WHAT BOOK I WAS READING and I told her and she said that sounds good I'll have to pick it up later and then GAVE ME A GOOD RECOMMENDATION how awful

And it wasn't like Griffith just made this one bad thing, or it was 'a product of the times!' Intolerance was his response to contemporary criticism and is also worse, maybe? People knew it was bad in 1915.

I'm sorry this is happening. I've PTSD & went through something similar last year. The dogs helped. And documenting everything.
