Simply using gratitude as a projection to demonize people who are unhappy is far too simple a thing, and if you do that, I'm going to assume you don't know chronic depression and despair. Gratitude isn't a fake it till you make it thing. And it's not a weapon.

Just tried to attend a community dinner in which I knew almost no one, immediately felt unwelcome and anxious even though I was invited by the person holding it, and left quickly. Fuck.
