It was also great to hear about the work of the other researchers—so cool to see how much high-quality science is happening in Flanders! 💡

Writing this paper was a real trip down memory lane—and honestly, a lot of fun! Nice to revisit old ideas, reconnect threads across projects, and look ahead to what’s next.

This paper will be part of Gordon Logan’s Festschrift (more on that soon in a separate post), so I tried to connect the dots—from Gordon’s foundational work and our collaborations at Vanderbilt, to my current studies on response inhibition in birds 🐦 @ecobird.bsky.social.
