It seems that commercial flight crew have always been keen to let their passengers know how they're doing. This captain's progress report was passed down the cabin of a BEA Dakota en route from Birmingham to Guernsey on 10 July 1952.

I'm in #France at the moment, and just visited the Cité Europe shopping centre in #Calais. It's much like any other ( #Manchester's Trafford Centre comes to mind), but I was impressed by this statue of General de Gaulle.

At the Holiday Inn Express HQ: "Hey, you know how customers have complained the light we put behind the window pelmet isn't enough, we need a proper ceiling light? Well I've thought of a great way of doing it!"
