Big windfall for the hotel industry after they successfully lobbied to ban AirBnB in the city. They argued it would bring down rents, but one year in, it’s done no such thing.

Harris was running towards the Republican base before her loss (so was Clinton, Obama, Biden). We’ve been a plutocracy all along. Democratic elites are more aligned with the interests of Republican elites than with the working class base.
