Last week I went on an Oak hunt to the Westcoast of Scotland. Absolutely amazing landscape and some beautiful Atlantic Oakwoods. So excited to come back for sampling in the framework of my PhD.

Another fab year leading the team building and presentation skills sessions for @iapetusdtp.bsky.social . The room was a buzz with creativity from the get go. @ruth-wright.bsky.social has shared some of the mascots, & here's a clip as the teams had 5min to recreate an emotional film scene!

We are very happy about the funding of the research project 'Wetscapes 2.0' by @dfgpublic.bsky.social to investigate exactly this question!

Very grateful to be part of the @iapetusdtp.bsky.social cohort 2024 at @uniofstandrews.bsky.social. In my PhD I will explore the response of oak growth to climate change and disturbance in Scotland.

Very grateful to Stirling University for hosting our annual Induction and Development event, and to Heather Price for organising a great line-up! A fabulous setting, in no way hindered by the fine (albeit chilly) weather.
