It's being underplayed how bad he was. He was an absolute liability for a 10-minute spell in the 2nd half, every pass misplaced etc. Of course, the narrative will be about Madrid, but I felt sorry for someone who seemed to be strangely shot of confidence. It didn't strike me as a lack of effort.
