Book 5, 2025. Lent by Jo Walton. An interesting, powerful work that posits a tragic religious universe, multiple timelines, demons and saints, and takes place among monks, nobility, and nuns in Florence in the late 15th century. Not like anything else I've ever read.

Book 4, 2025. Metal From Heaven by August Clarke. This book is a lot. Lesbian queer bloody revenge fantasy, romance, power games, the proletariat rising; religious mysticism, the death and rebirth of gods. Intense prose dripping with sensation. Glad I took the journey with our hero Marney but whew.
