My father is 86. He lives on social security and - mostly - retirement savings he sacrificed to scrape together while raising 5 kids (bc “we” took away his pension). He just lost over 10% of his ability to care for himself in 6 weeks. Why? How is making an old man suffer good policy?

Addressing violence against women has been a big part of my life’s work. This is infuriating. If we can’t commit to protecting our most vulnerable neighbors, what are we even doing here?
