A self-portrait is a trace, a reflection of a moment. But on social networks, it often becomes an empty surface, where the lived moment is erased, because the photo is taken only to be published. These photos are no longer a memory, they exist to be forgotten.

Artificial intelligence is an extension of the self. However, the parts of oneself thus extended depend on the person interacting with it. For some people, for example, it serves as a cognitive prosthesis, i.e. both as an extension of brain functions and as their replacement or assistance.

Hello Bluesky, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Frédéric Tordo, a clinical psychologist (PhD) in Paris, and also a researcher in contemporary psychopathology. I use Bluesky as a kind of notepad of spontaneous thoughts, with the idea of exchanging in a similar way with the community !

It's hard to find networks where people don't sell themselves. Bluesky seems to me a fine alternative for authenticity, until it's probably invaded by the commercial world. Hey guys, you're not a product!
