Critiquing activist behavior and engaging in optics discourse is a privilege many in the United States have had until now.
From my 17 years of experience engaging with activists in other countries, I can attest it is not a privilege most other people have—and I would suggest we no longer do either.

If it was about Christianity over secularism they'd be delighted to have more Latin Americans.
If it was about constitutional values like free speech, equality under the law, and democratic governance, they wouldn't be shredding the constitution.
So we know it's not those. It's pure racism.
