I have a simple shortcut automation that locks my iPhone whenever the Settings apps is launched. This prevents someone who’s accessed my phone via the passcode from making changes to security settings or accessing mail-based resets.

I normally get it in less than 5 minutes. Today’s took me 57 🙈 I had to laugh at myself!

Your post exemplifies what’s so great about IOT. “Who’s Margery Kempe?” I thought to myself. <quick research…> Am now about to listen to that episode and have “The Life of Margery Kempe” lined up to read next. Thanks!

Jim says, “They don’t need fancy presentation.” But Lynsey is quite literally telling him that she does need this.

Are you interested in trying the Guardian Quick Cryptic? I ask because there’s a great community over on www.fifteensquared.net where they blog the answers, with explanations. I started trying to do cryptics in September and it’s helped a lot. Might be worth looking at.

Loved this episode. I had wondered if you’d refer to the Kim Stanley Robinson Mars trilogy since, as well as the hard SF, it also really digs into the details of the likely politics, intra-Mars as well as Mars/Earth. Maybe the sheer volume of it put you off? Still, an outstanding discussion

Finally listened to this epsisode this evening. So much to think about and appreciate, but I particularly enjoyed your pointer to Carol Ann Duffy’s poem, ‘Eurydice’.
