If you look up Constitutional Crisis in a legal dictionary you won't find anything. It is just a term of art...I've heard some scholars say CC's require Art I or II branches ignoring Art III rulings...ie Marbury vs Madision, but Trump has taken a lot of art I power.

The term constitutional crisis makes no sense imhop. It’s just a mealy mouth term for avoiding the truth. You are either violating/exceeding your authority or you aren’t. Most violations, such as impoundment, are obvious…some are not.

Sometimes people have to go through a existential catastrophe to recognize the need for an a complete overhaul. I think America is in that place and the only question is how much destruction will it impose before it recognizes the hard truths of its history and character.
