I have rude turned off, and users who aren't on any moderation list for me or marked as muted have their replies hidden still w no clear indication of why.

I would wait. A beta version likely does not have the same security as stable.

"social neighbourhoods" sounds like a codeword for echo chambers. I don't want to be limited to a hidden Facebook freinds-like system, I want to see posts from across the platform.

You can turn that off in settings > moderation > Bluesky moderation service if you prefer.

It would be nice to see rude, intolerance misinformation set to warn instead of hide by default.

It is best see what people are commenting, including nonsense comments so you know what they're thinking.

Entirely hiding comments that aren't illegal, scams, NSFW, etc by default is censorship.

You can block explicit content on a kid's phone with Family Link (Android) or Screen Time (iOS).

But many parents don't know this because they are not tech savvy and just give their old phones often without even factory resetting them.

We need to advocate for those tools in place of legislation.
