I do think there's a huge difference between "I like this person so I'm ignoring their actions" and "this is bad, but it didn't hurt anyone and they've grown past this behavior". Like a HUGE difference.

But fuck DLCs. How are children supposed to be able to enjoy the game fully anymore. I don't care that I grew up and they're catering to my audience, a child shouldn't have to ask for a game for a whole ass Christmas present when I could get a DS and two other Pokémon games when I was 9.

I hope it's not weird posting two contradicting statements but I wholeheartedly believe people are forgetting what they're doing different with the animations after over a decade of criticism. It does bring out the best in whichever designs they choose. But they can still do better.

I WILL say though, they could've done more for them. Mega altaria, mega ampharos, mega mawile, and mega lucario did an amazing job at taking a design and twisting it to be full of details without taking away from its original design.

They can do better and the criticism isn't invalid.
