That book sent me on a very very deep hole researching North Passage expeditions, Antarctica and then reading a bio on Samuel Pepys! (which was EXTREMELY boring!) I'm certain that I am the only one who has read that book this century.

I'm on book 3.

A friend, who's read the series, always asks me if I've finished that 'magic carpet' series yet 😂
