The Unbearable Lightness of Love
This #Pride, consider the Christ many dare not preach: a divine scandal not despite our queerness, but through it. If God is love, and love casts out fear, then perhaps the very "inclusion" so many celebrate is merely the beginning of faith's true undoing.

A visit to Walsingham coming up, to pray for the world. Let me know if you'd like me to pray for you.
I shan't be attending services, as I have boycotted the Shrine liturgies until they allow female priests to preside there. Mutual flourishing works both ways, no?

Reminder: Jesus was not politically neutral - he was *always* on the side of the oppressed. In following Christ, we must always strive to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, heal the sick, visit the prisoner, welcome the stranger and free the oppressed.

Enduring is exhausting. If you're alongside someone who is enduring, make a space for them to do whatever they need to do to vent/forget/distract safely. Be a safe harbour whilst they travel stormy seas, then be their place of repair when they have passed through the troubled waters.

"What if the darkness we are in is not the darkness of the tomb, but the darkness of a womb?"

Heard this in a sermon on a reel recently, really resonated.

This came to me at just the right time, like God speaking directly to me. Maybe it comes to you at the right time too...

Hold tight everyone. Hold tight to each other. We know what is coming. Do not let divides grow. Love all the more, care for each other all the more, include everyone all the more.

Love will bear us through all things. Even him, even them, even this.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
