Councilors didn't do their due diligence until after it all came out. Two senior employees were terminated to appease the public. But at what cost? We'll never know. October 2026 can't come soon enough.

Keep the GST, but allow buyer's to apply it as part of the down-payment. Its the down-payment that's holding people back from purchasing as they can't save it. Or scrap the GST and allow 100% mortgages.

Netanyahu never said peace, but "ceasefire" that's worrisome. So many deals have been signed and broken over the years. What we saw in Isreal and Egypt today was a show made for TV. The only way to peace is the two state solution that weeks ago had been totally rejected by Netanyahu.

I'm glad to see Canada was there, but how can a peace deal be signed in such a public way without Isreal and Hamas at the table. Fortunately, most Canadians and Americans don't trust Trump, Netanyahu, or the Hamas leadership to believe in any peace deal.

I also found it interesting that the SPEC did not allow comments to the article. That paper is famous for blocking free speech on sensitive articles. The comments are always monitored before being posted, so I don't see what the issue is.

The prize should go to the American people, for Trump is trying to cause a civil war in America by claiming an insurrection and sending in its military against its own citizens. No convicted sexual felon and fraduster should qualify. If I were to give it to anyone, it would be Jared Kushner.

I would be interested to know how many people (rented / owned) have lost their homes due to the property tax increases over this term of council. 26% is outrageous.

Nice, free advertising. The current councilors' cronies know it's all coming to an end. There will be a big change coming. It's time to bring the council back on track and control spending like a real corporation. Cut wasteful spending and services and cap property taxes to 3.5%.

Patel said fixed wing assets were in the air 16 minutes after the shooting. Had the FBI or local law enforcement have eyes in the air before the event, this would never have happened. A bit of planning would have saved a life and millions of dollars on an investigation and up comming trial.
