Maple never had kittens herself. But when the feral babies became a part of our home, she loved them and cared for them like a mama, showed them how to feel safe and trust people, and be good housecats. Doing so changed her into a more confident, loving cat herself. The bbs very obviously adore her.

I grew up around a lot of Koreans but speak very little of the language. Today I took my kiddo to the Korean bakery, and after paying, thanked the cashier in Korean. It must have been convincing because he responded in Korean and I understood maybe two words of it, but it felt so validating T_T
