Both Gab and Bitchute refusing to comply with the UK’s Online Safety Act and so choosing to restrict their services by blocking UK IP addresses. Good riddance.

X has just suspended a number of Australian neo-Nazi accounts.

Personal opinion.

Whoever now runs Thomas Sewell's X account has just posted an AI enhanced video of the neo-Nazi NSN group leaving the magistrates court using original footage from ABC News and 9 News.

10/ We also used image clustering using image similarity to examine the dataset. Here we need more time to cluster based on the topic contained in the image. Again there's bleed from the Russian disinformation channels in the diagram.

9/ Conspiracy theories were another aspect of the dataset we investigated. 'Gender Ideology' featured as a conspiracy theory against LGBTIQ+ minorities and the Plantation Conspiracy theory were also present.

8/ We ran out of time to do a proper sentiment analysis against the politicians and candidates but a generalised look shows an overwhelmingly and unsurprising negative sentiment. Scepticism, threat, resentment, anger and superiority were prompts we looked for alignment on and found.

7/ We also examined channel activity by day with an obvious spike around the pre-election RTE debate. Our categorisation of different types of Telegram channel needs more work particularly around the ideology of the specific channel.

5/ Another aspect of the dataset we examined was the relationship between far-right Channels and Irish Politicians and Irish Far Right candidates. We used customised Spacy Named Entity Recognition to extract these relationship into a Sankey diagram.

3/ These accounts also engaged in coordinated posting behaviour, possibly acting as 'engagement pods.' Examples of this can be seen with the Irish Channel and the two Reclaim Ireland accounts below:
January 21, 2025 at 5:23 PM
2/ In our initial dataset, we found an overwhelming number of posts about Trump and Ukraine rather than on topics relevant to the Irish Far Right. We found some Russian disinformation accounts; their ‘tells’ included 7M views during the election for an account with only 2,733 followers.

Another 'Australia Day,' another neo-Nazi rally.

The Irish Far Right have started using drones to monitor the construction of accommodation for asylum seekers. Be very interested to know if they hold a licence with the Irish Aviation Authority as required under EU legislation.

10/ State Highway 6 has also seen road sign vandalism where Te Reo Maōri place names have been removed or replaced with racist slogans over the last year (nelsonapp.co.nz/news/article...). A previous post by SRAC appears to gloat at this vandalism.

9/ Both locations are on State Highway 6:

8/ Looking in more detail at Hope Saddle, there's an image of the car park localistahub.com.au/listing/hope... with the low wooden barrier on the left plus matching texture on the poles on the shelter:
January 5, 2025 at 2:20 PM
7/ I couldn't find the location by reverse image searching and spent a few days on All Trails. Then I used Over Pass Turbo overpass-turbo.eu to narrow down any car parks in the area with the query “amenity=parking” I got lucky as the first place I looked at was Hope Saddle Lookout:

6/ There are various, possibly unique features, in one of the first few images:

5/ In the original SRAC post the images don't appear to be from the same location. Google Street View of the Kawatiri car park doesn't show any low wooden barriers. Plus, one of the SRAC losers was wearing shorts in one image and not in the others, suggesting it was a different time or day.

4/ The railway tunnel was easy to find as a reverse image search on Google Lens found the Kawatiri Historic Railway Walk. The tramp, with further images matching those in the post, is on All Trails here:

3/ The original SRAC post includes 8 images:
