In our new paper “Beyond start-up formation” we examine the effects of #start-up support for #laggingregions beyond fostering new enterprises. This "outward causation" is a relevant contribution of #entrepreneurialecosystems for #regional development.

Can regional banks enhance economic resilience? In our newly published paper, we demonstrate that countries with regional banking systems enhanced economic resilience during the 2008 global financial crisis. However, we did not observe such effect during COVID-19:
