But, again, worst case it doesn't play great and I'm hopeful the game's wow factor will come from that immersive exploration and constantly-increasing feeling of power and abilities (and puzzles).

And on paper, I understand why Retro has continued to want to add more actual voices and narrative to a modern action adventure game. It could lead to a few more cinematic moments if done right.

Some people didn't like Myles giving you tutorial tips. But, I see two things there:

Doubtful (in let's assume a 30-60 hour experience) this is happening much % of the playtime.

Okay, I forgot bright dust is much harder to get these days (it's being adjusted for the next expansion). But unless you already have the bright dust, I'm not sure there's an easy path to 6000 bright dust (the cost of one skin). Unless you never cashed in on your season pass.

In case you're not reading between the lines, I'm saying it'll cost you time to grind the event/game for one of the items via Bright Dust -- if you don't have or want to spend the dust you have.

Let's assume some of that was free. But no, I have not been logging in for two months, spending 5-15 minutes weekly to forage for Eververse bright dust.

I was just stating the costs. Personally, I'm likely not burning 6,000 bright dust on one item.

I remember, especially, being excited to play Xbox and Halo on LAN with my roommates (and folks at the office).
