Boskone! Wu's first principle of storytelling: You can't get something for nothing. Somebody (not necessarily the "hero/ine") has to pay for the happy ending. Sometimes it's a death. But a death doesn't necessarily have to be physical. It can be a spiritual/emotional death/1

I think it's the best thing (short of a novel I've ever written) and it means a lot to me. There's a ton of stuff in there beyond stuff blowing up. But there is a lot of stuff blowing up, too.

If two of your superiors - with the exact same data - come to completely opposite opinions on the course of action, who do you follow?

"A story of friendship and betrayal with a final twist at the end. Great story with well-drawn characters." -- Sam Tomaino, SFRevu

Is you learned a truth that would cause millions to die, would you cover it up? Is your duty to the Truth or to Peace?

If your boss orders you to do something nonsensical (but not immoral or illegal, you just don't to know the WHY) are you still obligated to do it?

9 years ago: after a lifetime of trying, it was now or never. I gave writing one last try. That novelette became my 1st pro sale. Since then: 2 novellas, 4 stories, 1 novel, 2 Anlab Awards. Never give up on your dreams. They are one of the few things that are truly yours.

Today's Lego nonsense. There's a farmers market today but not enough food. So the robot is turning people into vegetables and then the dinosaur escorts them away at gunpoint.
