Never thought I’d see “Hey There, It’s Yogi Bear” as part of the #TCMParty primetime lineup. My dad, who passed a couple of years ago, took me to see it when I was about five. This and “Pinocchio” are two of my earliest theatrical film memories.

I get a huge kick out of this. When she was eight years old, drummer Yoyoka Soma became kind of an internet sensation when she posted a video playing to Led Zeppelin's Good Times Bad Times (link below in 2nd post). Then last week, seven years later, this happened.

Although she'd appeared uncredited in a few silent films, birthday girl, actress, playwright, screenwriter Ruth Gordon's first credited film role was as Mary Todd Lincoln in Abe Lincoln in Illinois (1940). She won her acting Oscar 29 years later.

Haven’t seen Voyage of The Damned since it came out in 1976 but remember liking it. The all-star cast on this poster is a little distracting from the films somber Holocaust-related subject matter and makes it look like an Agatha Christie mystery, but it’s worth seeing. #TCMparty

Happy birthday to Vera Miles. Among many great performances, she starred in the premiere episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1955), foreshadowing her terrific work for him the following year in The Wrong Man, playing a similar role of a woman struggling with mental illness.

I just noticed famed director Don Siegel in the #Casablanca opening credits as part of the montage crew. It was early in his career and he apparently directed the opening montage sequence under the narration. #TCMParty
