I also want to have more gay black friends, I feel so out of the loop with the culture on a personal level because I missed out on so much. I want to feel comfortable sharing and “Venting” in a sense, and you have to start somewhere.

I want to start by most importantly loving myself and allowing me to be more gracious on me. I also want to allow my husband to love me more too, I feel that I had so many walls and barriers up that he had to fight through, and I appreciate him for sticking with me.

Finally, I enjoyed the Historical References that were portrayed. From Al Capone, to the simple abundance of Spanish Moss being everywhere, I can tell there was a keen sense to detail.
