I watched the Mononoke movie. I prefer the TV series. The shots are too short in the movie. I'm a bit sad they didn't do better but it's cool to see the apothecary in action again!

I didn’t post about my experience at #mifa2025, so it’s time to publish my thoughts about the biggest animation event of the year!

While we were expecting a quiet session, it was the exact opposite! The vibe was very good and everyone was busy building new connections.

Even though I've been going there for over 20 years now, it's always with a certain emotion that I leave the Annecy Festival.
A week full of animations, meetings, melted cheese and ice cream ;-p
End of digestion and back to Catsuka soon ;-]

I watched La Plus Précieuse des Marchandises. It’s a great animation movie, beautiful and touching. Another big success for the French Animation!

I’m back from #FMX2025. Despite the crisis faced by the VFX industry, the vibe was great.

It was the opportunity to connect again with friends and meet new people.

Kitsu caught the interest of many studios. Especially our capacity to offer a tailor-made hosting infrastructure!

Wow Arco, a new animation feature, is nominated at for the Cannes festival. And guess what? They used Kitsu to collaborate.

Can’t be more happy to see Kitsu films piling up success!

Superb article about WebGL and shaders. It’s very didactic and it comes with a Pretty tutorial!

If you like Japan animation, I recommend the Mononoke TV series.

The drawing style is original, it is made from paintings with a psychedelic coloring. The story is based on detective plots occuring in a magical context.

It’s easy to watch and refreshing!

I see more and more 2D animation projects funded. I can’t say that animation industry is back to normal but things get better.

This is bad for AI. If grabbing data means ruining the whole web experience, it will diminish the benefits from AI, eventually wipe them all.

It’s my first time at @officialgdc.bsky.social The quality of conferences is groundbreaking and the vibe is good. It’s definitely the place to be for game devs and artists!

Goal for upcoming éditions: having a booth for Kitsu there!

The recent Flow success could be a breaking change in the industry.

They used a real-time rendering engine. Added to the Kitsu review system, it allowed many iterations. Productions with low funding can now make many refinements per shot.

We will see more projects like this in the future.

It's my first tweet, and I will start with great news!

The Flow movie won the Oscar 2025 for Best Animated Feature!

The support team behind Flow includes very early supporters of Kitsu (Virginie and Christophe). I'm so happy for them that they receive so many rewards for their work. Congrats!
