At the same time, you also get amazing lines like this still.

I really like the Gamma's win screen in Breakers.

Number 12: Bushido Blade. God, this game was awesome. I really loved the way they made the weapons feel real by having any given hit do severe damage or kill. Made you think more before going for the strike, too.

A highly delated Number 6 because I'm dumb as hell: Impossible Mission.

STAY A WHILE, STAY FOREVER AHAHAHAHA.

Another classic that was available on damn near everything that was extant if you're of a certain age.

Number 11: International Karate +

Honestly this one is likely on the list of anyone old enough to have experienced the C64 back in the day. A true classic.

Number 10: Braindead 13.

Of the various Dragon's Lair-like games, I'd put this one up into the top tiers. Not too difficult, not too easy, SLIGHTLY more open than the usual games of the style. You should check it out!

Number 9: Dragon's Lair 2: Time Warp.

Honestly nothing I can say would be better than going to look at it for yourself. Just trust me, watch a longplay.

Number 8: King's Quest 5. You know, the Pie the Yeti one. A lot of people consider this one of the least fair ones of the set, but it's the one I started the series on. I think it was the first PC game I owned on CD-ROM, actually.

Number 5: The original Twisted Metal back on the PSX. Just have a lot of good memories goofing around on the Rooftop map with a buddy back in high school.
October 20, 2024 at 8:47 AM
Number 4: Arkista's Ring, mainly for having the gall to make you run through it 4 times to get a stat screen for an ending. Also it's fun.

Of note, I hadn't ever seen the box art for this before.

Number 3: The Journeyman Project games. What can I say, point and click adventures about time travelling are good stuff. The first one is a bit on the rough side but Buried in Time is a classic.

For number 2, gonna go with the classic Commando. Specifically the NES version of it. Never got to try out the Arcade version as I never saw it anywhere. Simple vertical scrolling run and gun game from Capcom that just feels good once you get a handle on it.

Gonna forgo my super usual picks and instead hit Cubivore as the first answer. A very... bizarre game on the Gamecube about eating weird cube animals, as a weird cube animal, to evolve and survive. It's also kind of weirdly violent for what it looks like. Fun, though!

You know what, I'll do this one too. Might be a bit slow at it but I'll gambatte.

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #647,816!

neat i guess

Hoo, this was the SNES version. I rented this a lot as a kid but boy oh boy did I not remember how much the SNES struggled to run this in a few spots.

My productivity of the day was doing this.

Can't believe I can not only still do this, but clear three loops of it.

If I could read a little better I would try this

These guys got added to Breakers yesterday, so did my first Raider match in a long while to give them a go. They're pretty fun to play as!
