Here's this month's tracking for what I read. Hope you're all doing well!

Part 6. I am just finishing up here. Hope you all have a great week, and see you on Friday!
March 31, 2025 at 9:04 AM
I have also started Henry V today, and I will probably finish it today, so that's that. I doubt I'll finish it before the trip home, but so far, so good. I'll definitely need to read some cliff's notes to make sure I really understood it.

Part 4. The Art of Flight is a really interesting book, and it has made me go through and find more books by the author. I hope to read them over the break/summer. We'll see where it leads though. He had a fascinating life, and it's definitely an era that I am unfamiliar with.

Part 3. I am really enjoying how haunting Here Until August. It's so haunting sometimes, and the grief is palpable, but it has these beautiful glimmers of Hope from time to time. I'd recommend giving it a read

Part 2. My final thoughts about Akata Witch. I know, I'm really late to the party on this one. This was a new take on the magical school trope and was exactly what was necessary! Such an interesting new perspective on the world.
March 31, 2025 at 6:17 AM
Part 1. We're just beginning to put things in order. I need to put my ideas together and work to figure out how to enjoy myself a bit. There are only 2 more real weeks of classes for me.
March 31, 2025 at 6:15 AM
Part 7. I dissect the next few weeks, and get my ducks in a row. Have a good weekend, and a good rest of your day. Hopefully, we'll see each other around!
March 28, 2025 at 7:19 AM
Part 6. Akata Witch is incredible! The world is so vivid and the characters are so real. It's an actually dangerous magical school and world and I would recommend it to anyone who would like a fresh perspective on the subject. It is what a hidden magical world should be.

Part 5. I finally read the beginning of a new short story collection I wanted to start. I'm about a third of the way through. I think it's something I could tear through pretty quick. The two stories I read rely on inference, but they create very lively worlds. Looking forward to reading more.

Part 4. The Trees by Percival Everett is a hard book to read, but the message is necessary to understand. The way people spoke there was just extremely uncomfortable , but that being the way people speak there shouldn't surprise anyone. Very interesting read and glad that I finally picked it up.
March 28, 2025 at 7:12 AM
Part 3. Three Apples Fell From the Sky was an interesting read, and I liked it overall. It's very Eastern European, so if you're used to that style of writing, you'll get something out of it. Very straight coded but good for what it was.
March 28, 2025 at 7:08 AM
Part 2. My Mess Is a Bit of a Life was good but very much unexpected and unknown. It accomplished what it was trying to do, but was such an odd experience, that it became something that was not hard to understand, but some spots were just deeply uncomfortable. That may have been the point though.
March 28, 2025 at 7:05 AM
Part 1. The introduction comes into play here. I'm just enjoying the thought that I will regain some sanity in a few weeks. That is something I sorely have been lacking as of late. Slowly, but surely, I'll get there.
March 28, 2025 at 7:01 AM
Part 6. And now, we conclude. Today will be a full day, with a pause to grade in the middle. We'll see where that goes. I also will be reading the next Agatha Christie book in French, since Mathieu has it. I'll start Les Sept Cadrans in about 2 weeks. Have a good week and talk soon!
March 24, 2025 at 7:20 AM
Part 5. I talk a little more about Three Apples Fell from the Sky, which is still a good book, but it very much feels like the other Eastern European Literature I read in college. There's almost a dream-like quality about it. It's like when you read it, you're stepping outside of time.
March 24, 2025 at 7:16 AM
Part 4. My Mess Is a Bit of a Life is my current audiobook. I started reading it as an ebook, but decided that it would probably be more interesting in audio. It's a funny book, and I'm having a great time with it, but it's crazy to think that the life she was leading was in the 70s or 80s
March 24, 2025 at 7:13 AM
Part 3. I talk about The King's Assassin. It was a good book, and in general of a time period I know, generally, but there were a lot of names places and dates. I think I just get really confused about the lines of inheritance and who was scheming against whim to do what. So, such is life.
March 24, 2025 at 7:09 AM
Part 2. I discuss the first book I finished, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. It was really good, and just a testament to how bad white people can be, and made me feel ashamed at many key points. I should have taken it maybe as an ebook or physical book, just to put things more into place.
March 24, 2025 at 7:07 AM
Part 1. This is the most I've felt like me in a while. It seems that I'm almost done with it, hopefully. I am feeling better and hopefully things will only get better from here. Now, if I could just stop breaking ribs, I'd be all set....
March 24, 2025 at 7:03 AM
Part 8. Just the outro. Hope you're all doing well and with some luck, well get to talk more soon.
March 21, 2025 at 8:42 AM
Part 7. Here I talk about Three Apples Fell From the Sky. Not a bad book, and I'm enjoying it. Right now there are no books I'm really in love with.
March 21, 2025 at 7:30 AM
Part 6. I am just finishing off my lament about The King's Assassin, and I begin talking about my nightly read
March 21, 2025 at 7:27 AM
Part 5 contines as a once again, a retention issue. Although the time period is interesting, there's still the real situation that I'll probably not remember half of what this book is talking about. I am reading it as an ebook, but I don't think that changes anything.
March 21, 2025 at 7:24 AM
Part 4. I continue my lament about my lack of education about the actual history of my own country, and begin complaining about how uninteresting renaissance history is to me.
