Met with Minister of Justice HE Mr Adel Nassar. An independent and impartial Judiciary, including the support it needs to be able to do its work properly, are at the top of the Minister's agenda. The Minister deserves our help, these reforms are crucial for Lebanon's future

Honoured to meet Agriculture Minister HE #NizarHani today. The Lebanese agricultural sector has huge potential and could solve many of #Lebanon's problems, but also faces many issues. We discussed Minister Hani's priorities for the farmers, and how the Netherlands can (continue to) help

Had the pleasure to meet the Bâtonnier (President) of the Beirut Bar Association today. We discussed important issues like the need for judicial and financial #reforms in #Lebanon, as well as support for the harbour explosion investigation. Thank you Mr Fadi Masri for the warm welcome 🙏

Tebnine Hospital, the only operational hospital left in the South of #Lebanon, was badly damaged in the recent conflict. The Netherlands and #LAF-CIMIC helped it with new electricity storage facilities, to ensure that it can keep serving the people of the wider region
