I recommend the book series by Charlaine Harris featuring an alternative dystopian time line and magic, the Gunnie Rose series, beginning with An Easy Death. There are 6 books in this recently completed series.

I don't see it dropping much more given who the 36% are. Short of the 36% dying, they are behind him no matter what. Whether they lose their farms, have their family member deported, go bankrupt, or be insulted personally, they are "loyal." Cognitive dissonance is strong with them.

And she had a terrible eye infection when she was very young. I'm just grateful she didn't require an enucleation and the vet says she has a little sight in the eye.
