Small disappointment however, the road in that photo just lost a court case and now will be converted back to a two lane road, likely at the expense of cyclists :(

Union Station has a restaurant in the old Hard Rock café that’s pretty neat with American food and shakes etc
Stellar Hog is the best bbq and has a big outdoor area that they could run around in and not be a bother
Fountain on Locust for milkshakes and diner food and it’s a cool 30s theme
